AMEN Ministries Beginnings!
While living and working in
our community, I learned of many residents who did not have a spiritual
connection though they are believers. Some due to voluntary separation
from church precipitated by theological or doctrinal conflicts, some due
to a disbelief in the institutional church, others because of physical
incapacitation and their church's neglect, and still others because of
relocation and unfamiliarity with churches in the vicinity. The common
thread was that they all desired pastoral care.
In 2005,
I asked my Lord, "What can I do?" He answered and AMEN Ministries was
born.
We are
an internet faith based ministry dedicated to glorifying God. As pastor to
the unchurched living in Palm Beach County, FL, I (and other contracted
clergy) minister
to the needs of our local community by providing sacred ceremonies for
those who cannot or choose not to attend traditional church services, but
desire partaking in its rituals. We consider ourselves a mobile church
that travels to where our members are and provide worship and ceremonial
care.
Two years later, a good friend's mother died. It grieved my spirit to
see her and her family in so much pain.
I asked my Lord, "What can I do?"
He answered and AMEN Ministries "Custom Memorial Websites" was
created. We
endorse keeping memories of loved ones alive and we thank God for the
privilege of serving our fellow travelers in this special way. More
information about our "Forever Remembered" Memorial Websites can be
acquired here:
Forever Remembered
While engaged in casual conversations with friends, I learned that many of
them had friends or fellow parishioners who were suffering the loss
of a loved one. I felt their anguish in wishing they could do more but not
knowing what more could be done beyond the typical.
I asked my Lord, "What can I do?" He
answered and AMEN Ministries "Joy in the Mourning" online
Grief Center
and
Friends of Bereaved After Care Support
became a reality and an additional ministry
component.
